                                    A day to create

Last week I didn't touch my craft table.  By the weekend I just couldn't keep away and set out to create something, anything so I hit the blog challenges for inspiration.  Here is the results!

My first Frosted Designs kits arrived in the mail filled so tons of goodies.  For this layout I used the "We are Family" kit.  I started with the Tim Holtz doily stencil and texture paste.  Next I applied a couple of coats of walnut stain followed by various Shimmerz paints and products to deepen and enhance the background.  I also applied the walnut stain to this gorgeous Creative Embellishments fence piece.  I did a bit of fussy cutting with another piece of the kit's papers and added them to the garden.

This is a sweet picture of my grandmother as a child standing outside by a rose bush.  She is holding her hands behind her back.  I know, I know, it really does look like she is armless!  lol!

Studio 75  about women I chose the quote "You are capable of amazing things".

Off the Rails  I turned the sketch on it's side.  I used the colors and the old time elements as inspiration for my layout.

Beyond Grey  Make a mixed media project using more than one medium (gesso, mist, ink, gel medium, texture paste, pain). It has to be visible in your work.
